5-for-7 Game for Hale
It was a hits blitz for Frank Hale at Wolfson Park.
The Jacksonville Suns first baseman tore into the Savannah Guardians for 5 hits in 7 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Guardians swept past the Suns, 6-4, to ruin Hale's day.
"We weren't locating our pitches well," Jacksonville manager Joe Hill explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Frank was nice but it wasn't enough."
Frank Hale singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th, struck out in the 10th and flied out in the 13th.
So far this season, Hale has recorded a .234 batting average with 18 hits, 1 home run, 3 RBIs, 8 runs scored and a .298 OBP.
