League Gives Navarro 2-Game Suspension

It was both entertaining and embarrassing to see. DeLand third baseman Hector Navarro really got rowdy at Fort Lauderdale Stadium yesterday in a game against the Fort Lauderdale Yankees. It all started with a called third strike and ended up with Navarro being ejected from the game. In between he screamed at several umpires, kicked dirt on them and made several obscene gestures. All of this is frowned upon by the league office. Today they suspended Navarro for 2 games.

He could not be reached today for comment.

This season, Navarro has hit at a .267 clip and produced 22 RBI, no home runs and 15 runs.
