Bare Shuts Out Quincy, 2-0
21-year-old Cedar Rapids Cardinals pitcher Ray Bare had a strong outing against the Quincy Cubs at Q Stadium, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 11 in the 2-0 win and walked 4 while surrendering 4 hits.
"Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said.
On his stats sheet for the year Bare shows a 2-7 record, 12 starts, 84.1 innings, 70 strikeouts and a 2.99 ERA.
