Salem Rebels pitcher Lafayette Currence really got it done at Salem Municipal Field in a 1-0 shutout victory over the Winston-Salem Red Sox, shutting them down on 3 hits.
"It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Currence said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
The 18-year-old issued 2 walks and had 12 strikeouts in the Rebels win.
