Heath Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Waterloo

Quincy right fielder Bill Heath went 0-for-3 in Quincy's 6-2 triumph over the Waterloo Royals, snapping his 22-game hitting streak.

Heath spoke to BNN after the game and said he "knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later."

"I just would have preferred later," he said with a laugh. "It was fun though."

When Heath made an out in his last chance at the plate, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. In the clubhouse after the game, he seemed unbothered by the streak ending.

"There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," Royals manager <Ryan Middleton:coach#560> said of Heath's streak. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."

Heath is currently batting .386 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 34 hits in 88 at-bats.
