Kern #1 CALL Pitcher in June
The California League announced today that Jim Kern has been chosen the league's Pitcher of the Month. The Reno starter had everything working for him last month as he glided to a 5-1 record.
In June Kern chalked up a 1.11 ERA in 40.2 innings with 53 strikeouts and 19 walks.
This year, Kern has compiled a 8-6 mark with a 2.97 ERA in 16 starts.
