Floyd 5-for-5 Against Colonels
It was a sensational day at the plate for Bobby Floyd as he led the charge to a nifty 8-1 win over the Colonels. The Rochester shortstop was pure misery for the Louisville pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Floyd put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said <Lazaro Peraza:coach#224>, manager for the Colonels, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Bobby Floyd doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This year, Floyd is hitting .327 with 1 home run and 24 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .373 clip and scored 21 runs.
