McLachlin Struts Stuff in Win Over Kinston
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Kinston Eagles as starter Robert McLachlin shut them out, 2-0, at Grainger Stadium. The Peninsula pitcher struck out 6 and walked 3 while allowing 5 hits.
"McLachlin was good but he wasn't flawless," Kinston manager <Ross Wuestenberg:coach#578> said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Peninsula, but this is on us."
